I did lots of simple things like adding some Christmas books to a container w/ greenery:
Kitchen Island - wish the sparkle of these decorations would translate through the camera!:
The piano, with my very favorite Christmas songbook of all time!
Guest room:
Natural birch candles and live greenery. Simple, yet beautiful:
These are from the guest bath
Guess I should've taken the remotes out of this picture! Oh well, that's where they live - decorative or not!

Mantle - the hurricanes are filled w/ pinecones and gold nuts:
One very big thing we did this year was: NOT DECORATE THE CHRISTMAS TREE! Now pick your jaws up off the floor girls! Every year we always get the lights up and I say, "how pretty the tree looks with just lights!" But then we go on to fill it to the brim with decorations. I actually really love my tree decor. It's gold and burgundy w/ a Victorian theme. To that end, we usually put the tree in our living room, and get a nice tall, skinny, (Victorian) looking tree. BUT, this year I had the thought of putting the tree in our den so we could enjoy it at the same time as we enjoy the fireplace. PLUS, at the tree place we fell in love with this adorable short squatty tree - def not Victorian material! So, I thought this was my chance - to see how I liked a "naked" tree, and so far, I love it!
Another super easy Christmas touch: tie two pinecones together with pretty ribbon and hang over your curtain rods.
Bowl filled with ornaments and greenery:
Master Bath gets a little touch of Christmas too!
