RIHANNA is scouring London for the perfect bachelorette pad - she wants to be a U.K. resident.
The Barbados-born Umbrella singer plans to set up home in the British capital and has recruited her assistants to help her find the perfect apartment.
She tells Britain's News of the World, "I spend more time over there (in London) than I spend in L.A., and that's where I live. London is more like my home."

Jakarta - Penyanyi Rihanna memasukkan lagu duetnya dengan Eminem namun dengan versi yang berbeda, 'Love the Way You Lie II' di album barunya. Ia merasa lagu tersebut tidak bisa sesukses versi aslinya.

Rihanna sebenarnya sempat menentang versi berbeda dari 'Love the Way You Lie'. "Ketika aku mendengar rencana membuat versi lain lagu itu, aku sangat tidak setuju," ujarnya pada MTV.

"Menurutku tidak mungkin mengalahkan yang pertama," lanjutnya seperti dilansir Aceshowbiz, Minggu (31/10/2010).

Namun ketidaksetujuannya berubah seketika ketika ia mendengar versi lain dari lagu tersebut. 'Love the Way You Lie' hanya dengan iringan piano membuatnya jatuh cinta.

"Kami merekamnya, pertama tanpa drum, kedua dengan drum dan Eminem. Yang pertama terdengar sangat bagus," kata penyanyi yang akrab disapa Riri itu.

Versi akustik lagu 'Love the Way You Lie' itu kini ada di album terbaru Riri, 'Loud' yang rilis 16 November 2010 lalu. Lagu tersebut diberi judul 'Love the Way You Lie II'.

Rihanna has revealed her shock that Eminem wanted to record a song with her.

The 22-year-old star collaborated with the rapper on the hit single Love the Way You Lie, included on Eminem’s album Recovery earlier this year. The singer spoke of her surprise that the hip-hop star wanted to work with her as she believed he despised pop music.
“Well the first thing I thought, I was like, ‘What, Eminem wants to do a song with a pop artist like me?’ Because you know he always raps and is talking about pop artists, female artists, that was my first thought. The second thought was of course I want to do a song with Eminem as that is something that doesn’t come around every day. Thirdly I love the song it was just a hit,” she told MTV.
With new album Loud out next month, Rihanna went on to confirm the pair have rekindled their partnership to make a sequel to Love the Way You Lie e for her the record. Unlike the original, Rihanna takes the lead and explains her side of the story of a couple stuck in a volatile relationship. Although initially against the idea of the track, Rihanna feels the finished product is impressive.
“When I first got the idea of making part two I was completely against it. I just felt you couldn’t beat the original there was no way you could outdo that. But then I heard the stripped down version and I fell in love with it, then we did another version with drums and then we did another version with Eminem and that was the one that felt really good,” she said.

Rihanna worried about Eminem duet sequel

Rihanna was wary about recording a sequel to hit song, Love The Way You Lie with Eminem, because she was convinced the original could not be bettered.
The song stormed the charts this summer, spending seven consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in America and reaching number one in 22 other countries.
Eminem began work on follow-up Love the Way You Lie (Part II) - but Rihanna almost refused to take part.
She tells MTV.com, "When I first heard the idea about doing a part two, I was just completely against it. I just felt like you couldn't beat the original. There's no way you can outdo that, so why compete with it?"
However, the Umbrella hitmaker's reservations were dispelled when she headed into the studio with the rapper.
She adds, "We heard a broken-down version that was stripped down, just piano... I fell in love with it. We recorded it, then we did another version to the stripped-down version with drums, then we did another version with drums and Eminem. And then that was the one that just felt really good. I love both: I love the broken-down version, as well as the new one with Eminem."

She told Britain's Marie Claire magazine, “The most important thing is to be happy and true to yourself. I don’t want to look back at this in 30 years from now and say, ‘I did it all to make them happy and I didn’t enjoy.’”

“I want to be able to say people loved me because of who I am. People have a lot more respect for you when you’re yourself and let them see your imperfections. That’s the big connection.”

LOS ANGELES - Rihanna tidak datang di acara pernikahan Katy Perry dengan Russell Brand yang digelar di India. Padahal, Rihanna merupakan sahabat dekat Katy.

Setelah bungkam, Rihanna akhirnya mengungkapkan alasan ketidakhadirannya di hari bersejarah Katy itu. Rupanya, Rihanna mementingkan penggarapan album terbarunya ketimbang pernikahan Katy.

"Album baruku akan dirilis dalam dua minggu ke depan. Aku harus hadir di studio untuk mengurusnya," kata Rihanna yang disitat Showbizspy, Jumat (29/10/2010).

Pertimbangan Rihanna tidak datang ke India karena di lokasi pernikahan Katy sinyal jaringan komunikasi sangat buruk. Dia khawatir selama berada di Negeri Taj Mahal itu akan kehilangan kontak dengan pihak studio guna merampungkan albumnya.

While it can be incredibly difficult to send autistic family members or friends to live at autistic care homes, it is not as though the individual is being isolated. There's ups and there are downs. Wednesday was a pretty nice up since everyone at our work got incentive comp checks! I am not going to brag too much, but it was almost like having two checks this week. I sat around thinking of what to do with it, put it in the savings, buy a new mattress, pay off some bills....whatever! We also were told that the whole company is going to be put under evaluation, and therefore, an estimate is going to be done on salaries, which hopefully means that we will all get raises (finally!) It probably wont even happen until next year but it is good to know that something is going to happen, and, next year is coming pretty close!

Then I learned yesterday morning that the sellers did not accept our offer on the house. They didn't even make a counter-offer! Kyle and I talked about it, over the past eight months we have looked at over 40 houses, and put offers on four. We have spend countless hours online looking at houses, driving past them to get a better idea, and then we found a great one, but no, they don't accept our offer. We decided to just pay the asking price, but then we got a call from our lender, and we no longer qualify for our loan because the terms changed over the past two weeks. Our credit scores are too low. So now we can't get that house or any house. I cried about six times today because I wanted that house so bad, and then everything came at me at once: Why didn't I do better in high school and qualify for scholarships? Then I wouldn't have charged three plus years of school on my credit cards when I was at community college. I have knocked some of my debt down and I have not used my credit cards in over a year, but now I have all of Oakland to pay off when I graduate. Our Realtor is going to contact another company for us to see if we can get a loan through them, either that or we wait two months to see if our credit scores go up, we are only a few points away. I am hoping if we have to wait two months, that the house won't sell, but I doubt it. All I can do is wait and see, and that really sucks. 

I know that today will be better, for one, it's Friday and I am only working a half-day. Two, my friend Suzzie is staying over tonight and we are going to have a study party, chez-moi. Three, I am babysitting Trip again so I get to squeeze another puppy! And Four, Halloween is this weekend! I tried to look for an outfit today at Forever 21, but I am not sure on what to wear still. I did get a Weezer T-shirt from Hot topic! (yay birthday money!)

Rihanna may not be the “Only Girl (In the World),” but she does have a Loud voice and people want to listen.
According to Access Hollywood, in the new December issue of Marie Claire U.K., the Barbadian-born singer opens up about everything from her relationship with Matt Kemp to the pre-Grammy incident with ex Chris Brown.
Rihanna admits, “I smile for real this time,” in her current relationship. She adds, “The smiles come from inside, and it exudes in everything I do. People feel my energy is different. When I smile they can tell that it’s pure bliss and not just a cover up.”
The 22-year-old calls the domestic violence incident with Chris Brown in February 2009 a “wake-up call.” She says, “I needed that wake-up call in my life. I needed a turning point, and that’s what God was giving to me. All [of] this terrible stuff they say to you, it breaks you down.
She believes in destiny now, though she admits she never used to. “The most important thing is to be happy and true to yourself. I don’t want to look back at this 30 years from now and say, ‘I did it all to make them happy and I didn’t enjoy,’” she said. “I want to be able to say people loved me because of who I am.”
Rihanna has been busy working on multiple projects. The singer recently released a book of photos, and she is working on her film debut in Battleship alongside True Blood star Alexander Skaarsgard. She will also serve as the musical guest on this weekend’s SNL, performing “Only Girl (In the World)” and “What’s My Name.”
But the biggest event coming up for Rihanna is the release of her highly anticipated album, Loud, coming out November 16.
Given her incredibly busy schedule, she was unable to attend BFF Katy Perry’s wedding in India this past weekend. She said, “Luckily, Katy is in the same industry as me, so she understands and she knows how it can get.” She adds, “But I was fortunate enough to be able to throw her bachelorette party, so I got to be involved somehow.”

It's not a habit it's cool I feel alive

Over the past Spring and Summer and well into the Fall I have become a serious NPR addict. I don't know if it's my lack of world news & local news combined or my frustration with the bland alternative rock and pop music that gets over played , but something drove me to tuning into NPR on the way to and from work and school the past nine months. One of my favorite features is the Moth story slam that happens every month in different cities. I know that I don't have the time to attend a Moth story slam session anytime soon, but they hold one in Detroit at Cliff Bells every month! Cliff Bells is a really nice bar in Detroit that has been recently updated (2005),  but still holds a lot of the classical jazz-bar elements from when it was originally built in 1935. I don't hangout there regularly, as it is kind-of on the fancy side at night, but I have stopped in for an occasional PBR after work. Either way, I can live vicariously through the recorded Moth stories aired on the radio.

These pictures were taken by my friend Becky! As always, I don't really know what to do pose-wise when getting my picture taken (you'd think after a year of this I'd figure it out by now). Either way, this is another cozy-study outfit. A little more "dressy" than the slacks from the other day because I also wore this to my parents for my birthday dinner. I think I like rompers more with tights than on their own, or maybe it's just all the sweets I've been eating in the past week that have made me feel a little chubby... but that's what birthdays are for right? :p

Roots!! I love how excited I am that my roots are showing. It's kind-of hard to tell, but my natural hair color is some sort of dirty blonde. I have no idea if it is going to come out the same as it was when I was little, I'd imagine that as I get older it will probably change a little. It has a long way to go still but I am excited. I am still at a loss on what to do with my hair for my Halloween costume, I am going as one of the pussycats, I'm Valerie! It made more sense when my hair was black, but I friggin love Rosario Dawson and even though I can't seem to find anything in my wardrobe that looks like anything she is wearing in the movie, well, at least I get to come up with something that is inspired by her.
