American singer, actress, director and songwriter Barbra Streisand has been selected to be honored as the 2011 MusiCares Person of the Year.On Wednesday,the Recording Academy and the MusiCares Foundation told that Barbra Streisand will receive the award on February 11 at a dinner party and concert which will be held in Los Angeles.The yearly gala is among the festivities that will goes up to the 53rd annual Grammy Awards on February 13. CBS will be the telecaster of this award show.Barbra Streisand has won eight Grammy Awards in her 68 years life.Barbra Streisand is being honored for her unique creativity at work.MusiCares is a music company which was established by the Recording Academy in 1989. MusicCares cooperate and inspire people in the music industry during times of need.James Taylor and Aretha Franklin are among those who have been honored with the award previously.
