When I mentioned that I had a lot of news this week, I wasn't kidding. One of my closest friends, Anne, is getting married!! I am so happy for her, she is such a great person and friend, she is one of the few people who get my humor. I can't believe that I have only known her for two years, because I feel that we have been friends forever. I am lucky enough to have been asked to be a bridesmaid in her wedding! She is almost done with the plans, and wants to have her reception at the Detroit Zoo (which is perfect for her) and I cannot think of a better place to have a wedding for a close friend. It's exciting that more of my friends are getting married, we are growing up! It's awesome that we can be all adult and grown up and still giggle at fart jokes.
Kyle on the other hand is having a mini freak out (it's a good thing that he never reads this blog). He is under the assumption that since we have been engaged fot three years that he is feeling a little David Bowie and Queen right now. I told him to relax, there is no pressure and that we are fine. But, alas, leave it to the guy to worry. In the meantime I get to look for a spiffy black dress! I am excited because I love wearing black, I can get away with looking less goth now with the lighter locks. I can't wait until the next time I get to hangout with Anne because I wanna hear all the rest of the details! I really like wedding plans that are fun, not bridezilla. Woot!
In other news, I am styling up this cute skirt that belongs to Ebony for Here to There! I really like the pattern on it, and I am not sure if it is supposed to be worn at the waist or at the hips, but with tights, at the waist seems cute. I wore this to work and I think this is an appropriate look for the office. I love my thrifted jacket too, I can just throw it on and go out and look a little more casual. Except that I usually just go home and do homework. I have become quite the hermit these past few weeks. I went from seeing my neighbors every night to not seeing them for weeks on end. I get the random txt every so often that reads "You okay?, Still alive? Need some food?" yes, Katrina brought me food! I really have the most awesome friends.
Speaking of awesome friends, to all of you who said you liked how the new layout is going, it's all thnaks to Lauren! She fixed up my whole blog for me, she even told me how to make my pics centered properly(stupid blogger adding crap to the html). My old posts are crooked, and the OCD in me wants to go through and fix them all, I might do that sometime when I get really bored. Lauren even found an awesome plaid background for me! And to top it off, she came by last night and took all of these awesome pics of me. I really have the most amazing people in my life, I am really lucky to have them all.
