Yes, that is a wreath on my head, awesome correct? I thought so. Kyle not so much. He still took pics though, what a trooper. I thought I was going to be pretty bummed once my stay-cation came to an end, but I am actually okay. The next two weeks are short work weeks and I don't start school again until January 4th! I am already plotting goals for next year, my friend Dan already made some resolutions and I am working on mine. I always tend to set the bar too high for myself and then get pissed off when I don't get everything done on my lists. I have already come to the conclusion that I will have to make sacrifices next semester, I didn't say 'no' enough this semester and I wound up really stressed out towards the end. I can't do that to myself or others, it is unfair. So, I am going to try to plan ahead as best I can, and if I have to go for awhile without seeing friends, that is what I have to do. I am spending a lot of money on my education, so I can't mess it up.
Onto the outfit: These boots I bought from Kallie months ago but I had not taken a picture until now of me in them. Doc Martins!! I have wanted a pair of these for ages. At first, I had no clue what to wear them with, then it slowly occurred to me that I could wear them with anything really. They keep my feet nice and dry unlike some of my other boots so they are practical as well. The dress I bought last year from Target in the little kids section at Christmas. I have to do some adjusting to it but I loved the material on the dress, it is kind of like wearing a curtain or something, but I like it.
Lauren had asked me to come visit her at my work while I was on break so I did. Apparently the design center had a holiday party and I basically crashed it with Lauren. I felt it was okay because Kyle's twin works for Splendid plates the catering company that owns the cafe in the building and I have met most of the people who work for the company, so I didn't feel too bad about stealing food and wine. I also have memories of the design center because my dad used to work for a cleaning service and I would help him on the weekends and we used to clean most of the studio's and offices in the design center, including the TRA, which is where Lauren works. Small effing world.
Don't we look festive? Yes, I kept the wreath on my head the entire time. I did get a few compliments though, and Lauren liked it woot woot!
