Few Basic Methods to Prepare Chicken Breasts

Chicken is the most essential ingredient in my kitchen. And chicken breasts are the most liked meat mainly because of its soft texture. Baking, grilling, frying and boiling are some of the ways to make the breast. They are considered to be healthy, low cholesterol, low fat and easy to make. What else can you ask for?

Many of my friends recently requested to give them some tips how to cook breast.There are some universally accepted tactics to make breasts. One fact about cooking the chicken breast i wanted to tell you in the begining that it can become dry, rubbery and tough when not cooked well.

Try these basic strategies when you are cooking the breast:

·Always marinate it for 24 hours before cooking and make sure to store it in the refrigerator. The longer you keep the breast, the more it will be infused with the flavor.
·Mostly they are disproportionate in size. One side may be thin while the other side will be almost double in size. In such case, make sure to pound the chicken breast a little more so that it becomes even.
·Never cook it for a long time as it makes the chicken hard and dry.
·According to many experts, breasts should be cooked to an internal temperature of 170 degrees while others say 160 degrees is the accurate temperature for making the piece moist and tender. But recently, USDA has changed the theory and as per USDA, chicken should be cooked at the temperature of 165 degrees. Here is one secret which I wanted to reveal that meat continues to cook after it's been removed from the heat. So the internal temperature could rise 5-10 degrees in the first few minutes it's off the heat.

Any of these above said methods will give you juicy, moist and tender chicken breasts. For making tastier and more flavored, you are always recommended to season the chicken with lots of ingredients such as sliced lemon or fresh thyme sprigs.
