I've Become The "Plan B" Queen!!

It would seem that this year, I've become quite skilled at starting a project, and then restarting that project with a Plan B. I'm not sure why this has happened so much lately. Perhaps I have too many ideas swimming around in my head, and I'm just a little too anxious to try all of them!

I really don't know the problem, but here's my latest.

Remember the glazed wall treatment I was working on in J & A's master bathroom? It was one that I was trying to replicate from a sample I saw at Sherwin Williams.

I really loved that sample, and I even liked the wall treatment on the wall above the sink area.

But when I started applying the glaze to the other walls, it just looked so busy. With all of the color and movement in the floor tiles, and then in the wall tiles, it just seemed too much to have more color variation and movement all over the walls.

So what was my plan B? Solid painted walls in Behr Gobi Desert.

That looks so much calmer! And I absolutely love this color. If you're looking for a good neutral color beyond builders white, this one is perfect!

And I finally got the $15 shelves hung. I bought the wood brackets at Home Depot, and then had them cut a piece of 2" x 8" lumber into two pieces for me. I painted and glazed the brackets, stained the 2" x 8" wood, and then glued the pieces together to make the shelf. So easy, and incredibly inexpensive!! I need to finish filling the jars, and I have something in mind for the top shelf as well.

The bathroom is almost finished! I can't wait to show you the whole before and after, including other Plan Bs that went into this bathroom, like the Plan B window treatment, the Plan B idea to camouflage the gold shower, and of course you've seen the Plan B mirrors, all finished and hanging. I even have one Plan C that I'm using to camouflage the shower.
