I have a poll in the sidebar for what I should do next week, if you would like take a second and vote. This week bronzer tips won out which made me happy because I see lots of Jersey Shore looking wannabes around! NOT CUTE! Also, a few friends of mine have said they need bronzer help because they just don’t know what to do with it.
I warn you my pictures are a little ‘mug shot’ because I didn’t want any expression, sometimes when we make faces our cheekbones stand out or face changes but I wanted to show you the power of bronzer alone!
I use a big fluffy brush and Cover Girl Trublend Minerals bronzer in the lightest shade I could find. If you are wanting to look super super dark with bronzer piled on then this is not the place for you.
I did the left half of my face with some bronzer and the right half is normal. Notice that you can’t really tell that I have tons of bronzer on. The lighting in the bathroom makes me a little washed out but the edge is just lightly toasted. You can tell the my face looks thinner on that side, my cheek is pulled in a bit and jawline is a smidge more defined. Exactly what I think bronzer should do. I totally lost my ‘without bronzer’ picture so I had to take one that’s even more mug shotty! I would normally be totally embarrassed except…I’m tired and sick so HA!
How do I recreate this on my face you ask? Easy!
Apply your bronzer with a big fluffy brush in a ’3′ shape, start about 1/3 of the way in on your forehead, come down and in a bit on your cheekbone, come back out and swoop down along your jawline. Like a 3! Blend it! Blend, blend and blend. I start lightly and then build it up until I’m happy with it and blend like crazy. Use both long strokes and small circle strokes to ensure you don’t look obvious. Then take some more bronzer and apply under your chin and down to your neck. This will help mask a double chin or define a jawbone. You can still see mine of course but it’s not as visual (in my opinion). Then add a bit on the side of your nose. So many people make the mistake of applying it on your forehead, down your nose and on your cheeks, this is where a highlight should be. Not a darkener!
Still others do this….
Half of my face is heavy handed bronzer all over, I look stupid not tan or glowing. This application does nothing to help bring out your beauty! Plus what if you cry or it rains?
Eww.
Now…what tips do you have to share with us? Link up below! I will visit everyone who links up and maybe you will find a new makeup loving friend!
