Is this burning an eternal flame?

With April having a few weeks left for "Female music month" on this blog, I could not let the month pass before mentioning my first favorite band. I didn't even know the name of this band back in 1989 when I was singing along to the lyrics to "eternal flame"....I was also four. Nonetheless, The Bangles rocked and need to be noted.

They formed in 1980 and were originally known as "The Colours" but by 1983, when they were signed, they changed their name to "Bangles". Their sound has a "pop-rock" feel to it and you may have heard a few of their hits: "manic Monday", "going down to Liver pool" (which included Leonard Nimoy (yes, Spock) in the video), "Walk like an Egyptian","If she knew what she wants", cover of Simon and Garfunkel's "Hazy shade of winter" and of course "Eternal flame". The band broke-up around 1988-89 but reunited in 1999-2000 and are still together today.

I also got a surprise visit from Kyle at work yesterday! He brought me Jimmy Johns :) He brought the camera and took an outfit photo for me too, so here is an unexpected one for you guys. It really fits the theme of today's post too.
