I cannot fathom how short all my dresses are! I had to go back inside and put on tights for this dress, I swore that I wore it last summer without tights, but how?! It was probably for the best since it was windy as hell outside. Anywho, yesterday was a "mussy hair day" for me, I just gave up and put it in a pony-tail. Kyle took this in front of the library in Royal Oak where we live. It is one of my favorite places, but since I have no life, I have not been in there in months.
Ever since I got my new camera, I have been planning on giving a tour of my apartment through blog posts. Last summer, Kyle and I worked our butts off to get the apartment painted and looking more "us". I used to have post-it's all over the apartment last year when I took French to help remember what all the rooms were and all the items in the room. I am starting with the bathroom (le salle de bain) because other than the size of it, to me, it's perfect. I chose the color of this room, (every room in our apartment is a different color btw) and I think I picked out all the items in the room or they were given to us.
As you can see, the room is tiny! I think the offical color of the room is some sort of berry. The room was originally white before we splattered paint all over the place.
These are from partylite, I got these sconces for really cheap because a lady at my work sells partylite merch and convinced me into throwing a candle party at my apartment a few years ago. I usually don't have candles in them too much, but they are very pretty when lit up.
I love these gummy flowers on the mirror, I think Kyle found them at bed bath and beyond when we first moved into the apartment 6 years ago and then regreted it because I bought them. I also love the bulbs we have because it makes you feel like a movie star when you are in the bathroom.
The little heart came from Micheals, the sun and moon picture was given to me from a friend, and the flower was picked out by Kyle, he bought it at a garage sale before we moved into the apartment.
This is the shower curtain I picked out, I can't remember where I actually got it from, but it is green with gold swirls. The rug has green and fuschia tied in so that it how I figured it matched.
I almost forgot this one, but the candle holder is also from partylite, the little book is called "How to get a more sucessful personality" my friend Anne got for me just to put in the bathroom to baffle people. So does the "poo log" my friend Kyle got for me as a gag gift. Gotta love people with a sense of humor ;)
So that is it! I will hopefully get the next room ready for a photo-shoot by next week. There are a few projects that we would like to get to in each of the other rooms that I will point out but the bathroom is checked off as done. It is also funny how I posted the title of this post in French, when in France, people never really see the bathroom. Most people stay in the living room and that is it, guests don't get tours of apartments or houses. And here I posted my bathroom for the entire world wide web.
