Take it off baby for me

I  would like to make a special announcement, a blogger meet-up for MI bloggers!!

This weeks female music feature is on the all-girl  rock band "The Donnas" from California. They started playing together in highschool and took the name "The electrecutes" and became the only all female band in their city. While still in their senior year of high-school, they toured in Japan as "The electrecutes" before taking on a new band with the same members as "The Donnas". Each girl became a Donna, taking on the name Donna with the first initial of their last name, and in early 2000 they were signed with major label.

Initially with the name "The electrecutes" they formed a more punk following, but after changing their name to "The Donnas", they took on a more softer style of music, and stuck to a plain Rock genre. It can be safe to call their music "pure fun". I play one of their CD's almost everythime I get ready to go out and throw a few of their songs on playlists for party's.
